Dholera Discovery
What is connected, and what is not yet
A planned facility and an open one are different things, and a site that lists them together is not telling you the truth. Everything below carries its own status, its own date and its own source.
How to read the statuses
- In service Open and usable now.
- Commissioned Built and handed over.
- Approved or sanctioned Formally sanctioned. Approval is not the same as delivery.
- Under construction Work is under way. Not yet in use.
- Proposed or planned Announced. No construction and no sanction we can point to.
- Status not established We could not confirm a status from an official source.
Road connectivity
The expressway corridor, the internal network and the highway that serves the region.
- In service As at 2026-11-04
A national highway corridor passes through the Dholera region. Official publications disagree on which one: DICDL states the NH751 Ahmedabad-Bhavnagar route passes directly through Dholera, while two other official publications cite NH8 and the DMIC corridor.
The corridor is in service. The disagreement is about its number, not about whether a highway serves the region. Check the NHAI register before relying on either number.

Rail and freight connectivity
The freight alignment into the region and the passenger rail that is proposed for it.
- Approved or sanctioned As at 2026-11-04
Dholera's freight rail alignment is described by the authority as connecting to the Dedicated Freight Corridor.
The Dedicated Freight Corridor itself is a sanctioned national network. That the Dholera alignment connects to it is a separate matter from the Dholera alignment being built: the Bhimnath to Dholera line is under implementation and is not in service.

- Under construction As at 2026-11-03
The Bhimnath–Dholera freight rail line, 24.4 km broad gauge, is under implementation by Western Railway.

Power
Distribution capacity in place and the second source being built.
- Commissioned As at 2026-11-03
Power distribution capacity in the Activation Area is 500 MVA, with provision to scale up to 1500 MVA.

- Under construction As at 2026-11-03
A GETCO substation for dual-source power redundancy is under construction. Published sources conflict on its voltage, stating both 400 kV and 220 kV.
Voltage figures conflict between official pages — treat the voltage as unconfirmed.

Drainage
The storm-water network under the road network.
- Commissioned As at 2026-11-03
A stormwater drainage network runs under the 72 km road network, draining to the sea through a central canal of about 6.5 km.
Two official pages give the canal length as 6.5 km and 6.6 km. The shorter figure is published here, because overstating the length of commissioned infrastructure is the more damaging error.

Why this matters commercially
- Machinery sourcing. A machine that has to travel 100 km to site is a different commercial conversation from one that is already in the district.
- Construction equipment. Access routes and the state of the internal network decide whether a low-loader, a crane or a mixer is the right answer.
- Materials. Delivery windows, route restrictions and the distance from a supplier affect both the rate and the lead time.
- Workforce. Crew movement depends on where the site is relative to the towns people come from, not on the plan.
Nothing on this page promises a delivery route, a travel time or a coverage radius. A map cannot establish what we can reach, and we will not publish a coverage claim that we cannot honour on a particular day.
Your requirement
Discuss your project resources
Tell us what the project needs and where it is. Access, distance and lead time are part of the answer we give you.
Only the essentials are needed to start. Everything is optional — you can send what you have and we will ask for the rest.
If your project includes workforce, we draw from an active shared-resource pool of approximately 10,000 skilled and semi-skilled workers, including machinery operators, arranged through shared third-party networks. Skills, location, deployment timelines and availability are confirmed against each requirement.
